Did an LAPD Cover-Up Keep Bruce Lisker in Prison For 26 Years?
It is about this guy who is convicted but he is not the one who done it. How many times have you heard of cases like that? Well, I don't know about you, but I have. Much so in the recent weeks.
Long story short, This guy, Bruce Lisker, got convicted of killing his mum. 20 years later, he decided to file another appeal, and 26 years later, he is out free. He has been jailed for the wrong reasons.
However, even after he is free, someone tried to convict him again.
And so, for now, he is free.
This is so not about "It is not the duty of the judge to prove you guilty. It is the accused's duty to prove himself not guilty".
So you see? Sometimes it really isn't about proving you are not guilty. It is about the reliability of everyone else. It is about justice, fairness and the likes.
Well, 26 years lost. Chance to go to college lost. Chance to get a career lost. Chance to get a family lost. Who can make up for it? Frankly, money is not going to get your 26 years back. (At least that's what I think.)

This book is not exactly BANNED in Singapore, but retailers have been told by government not to sell it. (At least that is what I understand from reading forums and what not. Correct me if I'm wrong.) So buy it across the causeway, bring it in and read it at your own risk.
I really want to read it. BUT, I am not going anywhere across the border in the short term. :( Ohwell. There will be a chance to do so. Soon, I hope.
