Leashed children (Sunday, September 26, 2010 / 1:00 AM)

-------------------

Anyway, I encountered a eccentric mother (or maybe I am the one who is weird) while I was working today. The mother leashed her daughter! I can even remember, it is a green leash. Very striking.

Omg, the first thought that came to my mind when Wanting came to tell me about it was "wow, isn't that like a dog?". Don't bash me for thinking like that because apparently, all of us who saw it did.

Just in case you have no idea what I am talking about, here goes some pictures taken from google. These kids look so cute. Teehehe.

Very interesting.

I understand that it is to restrict the place your kid can go without you around. But really, I think it is tooooo ridiculous. Are adults now saying that kids should be tamed like how dogs are tamed?

Of course, there are always 2 sides to the story. One being that the kids wont get lost in the mall for they will always be close to the mom. But really? Is it necessary?

With this leash, kids will not have the fear of getting lost anywhere for the are leashed to their mom! But hey, do you remember the childhood phobia we have of not seeing our parents after we roam around somewhere? I don't know about you, but that definitely happened for me.

Every single time, I would be so afraid of getting lost! Anyway, back to the point, with this leash, kids will NOT have the phobia of getting lost! Shouldn't that be part and parcel of life? Learning how now to roam around so  you don't get lost? Kids would not be afraid, with this leash.

Food for thought...
